Basic requirements for tracheostomy tubes made of plastics material designed for patients who may require anaesthesia, artificial ventilation or other respiratory support, but not restricted to these uses. Includes requirements for size designation, size range and for such optional features as cuffs and inner tubes. Requirements for connectors are specified in BS 6149:Part 1.
