1.1 This standard covers pedestrian propelled platform trucks with a rated capacity up to 1000 kg, here after referred to as "trucks". Special applications case for rated capacities above 1000 kg. Trucks for these capacities may warrant requirements additional to those laid down in this standard. 1.2 For the purposes of this standard a manual industrial platform truck is a truck with at least 3 wheels and fitted with a non-lifting load-carrying platform and, should such be the case with one or several shelves.
