Titrimetric method applicable to contents equal to or greater than 0.5% (m/m). Not applicable to compounded products and in the presence of organic compounds containing more than two hydroxyl groups on adjacent carbon atoms.

This International Standard specifies a titrimetric method for the determination of the glycerol content of commercial soaps, excluding compounded products.
