Defines criteria for two types of hose assemblies (Types SD and D). Applicable to hoses made of thermoplastics and rubber, and metal hose fittings designed to convey liquid or gaseous substances. Covers requirements that relate to protecting the environment from contamination or damage, and ensuring that users are not exposed to danger from explosion or fire. Also gives guidance on the storage of hose assemblies.
