Provides a method for the determination of the apparent density of pitch which is solid at the test temperature. Requires an oven, capable of being maintained at about 50 Degrees C above the expected softening point of the sample. Includes sampling and illustrates typical brass mould.

This Section of BS 6043 describes a method for the determination of the apparent density of pitch which is solid at the temperature of test.
