Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Gives materials, tolerances and minimum performance levels for reconstructed stone masonry units for use primarily on the external face of masonry constructions. Applies to homogeneous units manufactured using castings, extrusion or pressing techniques and not exceeding 650 mm in any work size dimension, excluding the thickness of any profile on a textured face. Excludes masonry units consisting of a facing material and a backing concrete as specified in BS 1217. Includes binders and binder constituents, aggregates, admixtures, chloride content, dimensions and tolerances, compressive strength, drying shrinkage, sampling and marking. Shows measurement of dimensions, and determination of compressive strength.
