A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Provides information on the capability of the ultrasonic testing techniques defined in BS 4124 generally without modification, but does not give acceptance criteria as this should form part of the product specification. Intended for ferritic forgings used in the manufacture of hydro-electric turbines and generators, large pumps and fans, forged pressure parts and high temperature bolting, but excluding those forgings specifically covered by EATS Standard 98-13.
