Specifies the procedures and acceptance limits for testing the insulation systems of stator bars (half coils) for rotating electrical machines of the type given below, having rated voltages of 3.3 kV up to including 24 kV. (i) Steam turbine driven generators. (ii) Water wheel driven generators. (iii) Gas turbine driven generators. The requirements of this Standard are applicable to bars of single or multistack types for use in air cooled, gas-cooled conductor types of machines.
