    This Standard specifies basic requirements for plumbing and water distribution system products in contact with hot or cold potable water, or both. It also specifies requirements that all metallic materials contain not more than 4.5% lead by 1 January 1995, pending compliance with AS 4020(Int) within two years from its publication as a full Standard.
