This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the commonly necessary items concerning among the electronic components, hereinafter referred to as the "components", which are specially required reliability assurance such as reliability assurance program, certification test, quality assurance inspection, periodic certification maintenance test, failure rate and the like. Further, concerning standards of rating and the like, basis of dimensions, basis of symbolization, JIS C 5001 shall apply.
